Space Race: 1972 – 2022

Most people think the Space Race ended in the summer ´69. But actually, another great space mission started about the same time, at a kitchen table on the Swedish westcoast, where a small step led to a giant leap for the steel building industry. The vision was clear – more space.

Back then, the sky was the limit for many industries in the rapidly growing Swedish economy. There was an urgent need for functional, affordable, and weatherproof solutions. Our mission finally started in 1972, and since then we have excelled in providing space solutions. The concept of LLENTAB steel buildings was launched.

We’ve kept ahead in the space race by being on top of things for 50 years. In that time, we have covered millions of cubic meters of volume for a multitude of activities, in many countries. In our buildings, countless numbers of people are active every day… in advanced logistics, in high-end production, in Agriculture, in spacious sports arenas, in modern office workspaces and showrooms.

Today, we are still ahead in the space race, and we can claim, we’re on top of things. Today, in close cooperation with clients and partners, we look at the sustainable superstructures of tomorrow, on creating more functionality and value with less environmental imprint. With all the challenges and opportunities in the next 50 years, we will, through our competence and new collaborations … take our space technology even further, right here on Earth. LLENTAB.
