Our affiliate has completed its third ice hockey stadium in Slovakia, this time in Prešov (the other ones are in Levoča and Liptovský Mikuláš). The site of Prešov’s new PSK Arena is adjacent to a sports-oriented high school, offering perfect conditions for the operation of an extraordinary high-school ice hockey academy.
The Arena was officially opened on Monday the 7th of November 2016 in the attendance of the living legends of Slovakia’s ice hockey and the leading representatives of the region. The event was held under the auspices of the TV JOJ Foundation, which organised an exhibition ice-hockey game involving its representatives and the celebrities of the Prešov Region. It seems that Slovakia is on its way to advanced ice hockey countries, intensively supporting the upbringing of young players. This is also evidenced by another stadium under construction by LLENTAB, this time in Pezinok, which should open in early 2017.
