The market for electric cars is growing so quickly that the infrastructure for battery charging is not keeping up. This causes many companies to invest in solar power as they renovate, expand, or build new facilities.
Many new LLENTAB buildings are equipped with photovoltaic panels or are prepared for their installation. A large roof is the obvious source of additional energy today and for the foreseeable future.
In Poland, LLENTAB is now starting a pilot project with standalone carports as part of their offer to customers. These elegant yet very stable carports, made with the iconic LLENTAB steel frame, can be fitted with photovoltaic panels at an ideal angle to the sun from any given position and provide both renewable energy, rain and frost protection, and sun shade to employees and visitors.
Initial interest from the market has been strong, and test carports for design assessment have been initiated.
If the evaluation in Poland proves successful, from 2024 the concept will be extended to LLENTAB’s other European markets (currently including Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine).
